Chris: But this even comes up at work and professionally, I think, for all of us is that you can criticise, let’s say, what somebody else is doing at work, like, “I don’t like that. I don’t think we should do that.” That’s easy to do.

Dave: Mm-hmm.

Chris: What you need to do, though, is not just criticise but say, “I think we should do this instead.”

Dave: Right.

Chris: That’s harder to do, right? It takes some more thinking. I think decent, general advice is hold your criticism until you have an answer to that question because just being critical with no alternative is just so useless. You know?
